Hunting in the Red Desert |

Dear Sportsman, Rock Springs is located in Southwest Wyoming, in the heart of the beautiful “Red Desert.” We are right on I-80 mid way between Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, Colorado. Red Desert Outfitters offers only first class trophy hunts in all species. Unlike many other outfitters, we have no additional charges on our trophy hunts. We offer the highest quality animals our areas offer and let you make the decision. I am proud to offer the serious hunter some of the finest Pronghorn Antelope, Mule Deer, Elk, and Moose hunting available in Wyoming today. I am a life time resident of southwest Wyoming and have outfitted and personally hunted this area and many others in Wyoming for over 25 years. This experience enables me to select only the best areas for my clients and give them the best possible chance for success. We accommodate rifle, bow and black powder hunters. When you hunt with us, you will find that when it comes to evaluating game animals, planning stalks, judging distances, and the overall knowledge of the land and game, we are second to none. All my hunts are conducted from camp only and can accommodate groups of various sizes. On our camps hunts, I will furnish transportation to and from hunt area, accommodations, meals (home-style cooking and special diets), accompanied by an expert experienced guide, and trophy handling. You will provide your rifle or bow, ammunition, personal gear, and your license. Upon request I can send you an equipment check off list to help you with your preparations for you hunt. I personally do as much of the guiding as possible throughout the hunting season. When we put you onto the game, the rest is up to you. For this reason I do not guarantee any kills. All hunting is Fair Chase. AFTER THE HUNT
On all
hunts your
guide will field dress your game and take care of the meat while in the
field. Your guide will then transport you and your game to one of
the local meat processing plants to have your game processed. On
all my hunts your game animals will be caped and skinned. The
capes will be fleshed and salted. It is suggested the head and
capes from game animals be taken to one of the local
taxidermists. All locker and taxidermy fees are the
responsibility of the hunter.
LICENSES Licenses
are not transferable to another person according
to Wyoming law. License applications may be submitted singly or
in party groups of 2 to 6 persons. Legal ages for hunting big
game is 12. A hunter safety card is required by law for all
persons born after January 1, 1966. Out of state hunter safety
cards are honored. The card must be in hunter’s possessions at
all time. If successful or unsuccessful in drawing for your
license(s) you will be notified by the Wyoming Game & Fish.
If you are unsuccessful obtaining your license(s), send me a copy of
the notice and I will promptly refund your deposit.
We offer a credit card service for your application(s) and fee(s), however there is a small fee for this service. BOOKING TERMS
All
bookings are subject to my approval and must be
accompanied with 50% deposit per hunter. The remaining balance is
due upon arrival for your hunt. No personal checks please, cash,
cashiers checks or travelers checks only. After receiving the
required deposit and booking forms, the client will be sent a license
application for the species he/she wishes to hunt.
